ASSISTANT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

 

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Product Development Manager for product development in the UK and Europe on soft goods.  Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will work alongside the UK and Europe licensing teams.    

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and Maintain effective and efficient working relationships with licensees, agents and principals.
  • Work closely with Product Development Manager as well as the Licensing Managers and Brand Teams to ensure that products / approvals are in line with brand strategy and contractual obligations.
  • Suggest or make changes to product concepts in line with style guides, brand direction, competitor activity, the market place, trends etc.
  • Creative approvals on soft goods
  • Research and communicate in a creative market environment.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to demonstrate a creative flair and have sound understanding of the production process.  With excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, you will be a pro active individual who welcomes a challenge.

CREATIVE SERVICES ASSISTANT

Our Creative Services team are looking to recruit a Creative Services Assistant to take on a range of tasks and responsibilities in a very ‘hands on' and varied job. The position would suit someone with solid knowledge and previous experience in a similar role but who is looking to expand and move their career forward. A very busy position in a very demanding environment where meeting deadlines and organising requests that are generated from all departments within the Company would definitely require someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, reports to the Head of Creative Services.

 

  • Schedule all design jobs required for the company into a manageable timetable for the design team ensuring an efficient, effective design resource is in place for the company.
  • Show ability to build relationships internally, and problem solve, suggesting new and improved ways of executing creative projects. Constantly challenge the way projects have been done before to ensure that the department constantly raises its level of support and service.
  • Organise and arrange all aspects of the ER representation at major trade shows world-wide, from booking staff flights, accommodation to procuring the contractor, optimum stand evaluation, shipment of materials
  • Work alongside design studio and Head of Creative Services on style guide production and champion brand asset management
  • Manage bank of external agencies and freelancers
  • Manage all aspects of print production, and strive to improve our print buying power, and achieve cost efficiencies across the business
  • Work alongside Brand Teams to execute Trade Advertising strategies for current year, both print and online
  • Oversee on set photo shoots for all aspects of Creative

 MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Our management accounts team within ER's Finance department are looking to fill an entry level position.  The role is ideal for someone with a good academic background looking to progress with a career in management accounts and who has considered taking on further professional qualifications such as CIMA.

 

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Invoicing / Royalty Processing

  • Ensure invoices across Distribution and Licensing divisions are raised in a timely fashion utilising COMET and other systems.
  • Preparing and distributing quarterly licensing royalty declarations.
  • Processing licensing royalty declarations, checking declarations for accuracy and entering onto the database.
  • Collation and tracking of International Video quarterly royalty returns

Distribution tracking

  • Liaising with Revenue Analyst, Sales, Technical and Legal to ensure that all deals are accurately entered and the status kept up to date.
  • Attendance at delivery meetings with Technical and Distribution to ensure all parties are in agreement on deals to be recognised.

Cash management

  • Identify and post all sterling and foreign currency deposit receipts, withholding tax deductions, bank charges, foreign exchange gain and loss
Liaising with External Licensees and Internal staff
  • Respond to queries from external licensees and internal TV, technical and legal staff.
  • Liaise with legal and sales to ensure that contract information is correct.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including debtors, WHT, TV accrued income and debtor overpayments.
  • Maintain up to date debtor information including sundry debtors - addresses, contact details within the requisite systems
  • Ensuring a list of WHT deducted from receipts is provided to Credit Controller each month

Ad Hoc

  • Modify reports and implement controls that improve workings of role
  • Provide any other support services that may be required for the smooth and efficient running of the Company
