"Don't you open that Trap Door. You're a fool if you dare!" The Trap Door is a claymation masterpiece that follows the adventures of Berk, Boni (a moaning skull), Drutt (a small strange looking spider). The day-to-day routine of Berk looking after his master ('him upstairs') is constantly interrupted as things emerge from The Trap Door to make their lives a little more difficult.

Television:

Trap Door returned to our screens through Trouble, March 2005 airing three times throughout the day. Trap Door became a cult success in the UK achieving consistently good ratings on ITV, Nickelodeon, TCC, BSkyB and Channel Four and won 'Best Model Animation' at the British Animation Awards 1988

 

Home Entertainment:

Complete collection DVD, with all 40 episodes was released through Right Entertainment.

 

Marketing/PR/Advertising:

  • Trouble TV have developed a Trap Door microsite, www.trouble.co.uk/trapdoor/
  • Featuring an introduction to the show and it's characters and episode downloads.
  • The DVD launched with a nationwide PR campaign, coverage included national papers (including the Independent on Sunday), Men's Style Press (including Bizarre and Nuts), Trade Press (including RRP and HEW) and across student media.
  • An advertising campaign was also executed for the launch of the DVD.
  • Trap Door has also gained coverage through Radio One.
