BRAND NEW PRE-SCHOOL SHOW JIM JAM & SUNNY LAUNCHES ON ITV THIS AUTUMN
Jim Jam & Sunny, a brand new pre-school series from the makers of The Tweenies launches on CITV on ITV1 this autumn. Jim Jam & Sunny will make its debut on Monday 20th November at 3.35pm where it will air every Monday to Friday. This will be followed by the launch on the CITV channel in December. Jim Jam & Sunny is a key programme in CITV's preschool schedule.
Pre-schoolers will love celebrating each new day with Jim Jam & Sunny as they discover a brand new world opening up before them. Set in a real life house with a garden, the series celebrates every single new encounter in a pre-schoolers life; from discovering that water is wet to realising that you can stamp your feet when learning the actions to a new song. Whether it's bright and warm or cold and wet, Jim Jam & Sunny always wake up with enthusiasm for the brand new day and the adventures which lie ahead of them.
As all pre-schoolers do, Jim Jam & Sunny share their adventures with their toys, Gigi the Pony (Sunny's best friend), Nobby, a cuddly Monkey Bear (Jim Jam's best friend), Slim the Giraffe, Mouth the Bean Toy and Bot the Robot.
Created by the team behind the phenomenally successful Tweenies, Jim Jam & Sunny celebrates learning, discovery and play through the use of fun and laughter from the unique perspective of a child. The show has an unusual modular format and is broken down into different elements with music, games and stories and fun glimpses of real life. The live action costume character format utilises specialised animatronics and digital technology to create a truly innovative look. Computer generated imagery (CGI) is used to create real world environments and the show uses colour to enable pre-schoolers to focus on the characters and the subjects in shot.
Monday 20th November
In the first episode, ‘TIGER', Jim Jam finds something stripy in the laundry basket, which he thinks is a Tiger. After all, it has ears, stripes and a long tail. Jim Jam, Sunny and their toys discover that real tigers are big, with claws and teeth and have orange and black stripes, a bit like the things they have seen in the laundry basket. Closer inspection reveals that the ‘tiger' in the laundry basket is dad's stripy shirt but they share lots of similar qualities. Join Jim Jam & Sunny as they sing songs, play games and discover a Tiger in the laundry!
Tuesday 21st November
In ‘DANCING', Jim Jam and Nobby are having fun - they're dancing! Sunny joins them and does some ballet. Slim is apprehensive about dancing - but with encouragement from the others, he too is soon dancing with the music! Join Jim Jam & Sunny for a new day singing songs and playing games!
Wednesday 22nd November
In ‘DRESSING UP', Sunny is dressed as a magical fairy princess. She tells Jim Jam her ‘story' about a Queen (Gigi), an elf (Nobby) and a naughty pirate (Slim). Jim Jam dresses up as a cowboy and stops the pirate from taking the Princess's treasure. He's a hero! And Mouth is ... the King! Join Jim Jam & Sunny as the sing songs, tell stories, play games and try dressing up!
Thursday 23rd November
In ‘TRUCK', Jim Jam and Nobby have fun with a toy truck, but spoil the pretend ‘shops' Sunny has made. They agree to join in with her game, but really want to play ‘proper trucks'. Eventually they find a way to make both games work
Friday 24th November
In ‘BED', Jim Jam thinks that going to bed is boring. With a bit of imagination he discovers that a bed can be bouncy trampoline, a treasure cave, a pirate ship or a great place to have a pillow fight - but most of all, beds are very comfy for sleeping in.
