ER SECURES BBC DEAL FOR BRAND NEW SHOW - FINLEY THE FIRE ENGINE

Entertainment Rights Plc the UK's leading global media group specialising in the ownership of children's and family programming, characters and brands, today announces that the BBC has acquired a brand new multiplatform series, Finley The Fire EngineTM. The agreement is part of a five year multiplatform deal which will see Finley The Fire Engine broadcast on the CBeebies channel and in the Cbeebies zones on BBC Two as well as appearing on the Cbeebies website www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies and on CBeebies digital radio broadcasts. The brand new series is due to air from July 23rd 2007.

 

Set within the vibrant world of Friendlyville, the captivating CGI series, (78 x 11 episodes) is aimed at pre-school children.  On the outside Finley is a bright red fire engine, on the inside he's a kid at heart.  Finley, with the help of other loveable, everyday working vehicles tackles such issues as sibling rivalry, the care of pets, safety during playtime and sports, the importance of physical fitness, and many more themes.

 

Finley The Fire EngineTM is produced by RHI and Entertainment Rights acquired the international rights to the property in October 2006. It has since sold the series to over 90 territories.
