Lassie
In the premiere episode of LASSIE, Steve makes an unexpected visit to the "McCulloch" family home and, finding no one there, takes Lassie for a hike in the local woods. While they hike, an out-of-season hunter unknowingly shoots Steve in the leg. Lassie, protecting Steve, attacks the hunter and then makes her way back home in an attempt to alert Dee and Chris to the accident.
Meanwhile, the county animal control officer comes to the McCulloch home to take Lassie to an animal shelter due to her attack on the hunter. Will helps Lassie to escape from the shelter, and Lassie leads Will to the injured Steve.
